We are seeking a motivated individual for our hands-on On-Site Manager/Dispatcher position to oversee and coordinate the daily activities of our team of garbage helpers (loaders/collectors) in our garbage collection operations. The successful candidate will work on-site at our operational yard, ensuring smooth coordination between helpers, routes, drivers, and overall collection efficiency. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.

Supervise, schedule, and assign daily tasks to our team of garbage helpers, ensuring optimal route coverage and productivity.
Coordinate the deployment of helpers to garbage trucks and collection routes, monitoring progress and making real-time adjustments for delays, absences, or issues.
Dispatch and communicate with helpers via radio, phone, or in-person to relay route changes, safety alerts, or customer-specific instructions.
Monitor team performance, conduct on-site safety checks, and enforce compliance with company policies, and environmental standards.
Handle on-site issues such as helper attendance, equipment needs (e.g., gloves, vests), performance concerns, or minor incidents, escalating to senior management as needed.
Train new helpers on proper collection techniques, safety protocols, and company procedures.
Maintain accurate records of helper assignments, attendance, daily reports, and any incidents or productivity metrics.
Collaborate with route managers, drivers, and customer service to resolve service issues, missed collections, or customer complaints.
Promote a positive team environment, conduct daily briefings, and motivate staff to achieve high performance and safety standards.
Assist in route optimization and staffing planning to maximize efficiency.
Qualifications and Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; preferred but not required associate's or bachelor's degree in logistics, operations management, or a related field preferred.
Supervisory experience in waste management, garbage collection, logistics, transportation, or a similar field service industry.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead teams, dispatch effectively, and handle high-pressure situations calmly.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
Ability to work early mornings, flexible hours, and occasional weekends as operations require.
Physical ability to work on-site in varying weather conditions and perform occasional light manual tasks.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills highly desirable but not required
